A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash involving an SUV, according to the Independence, Missouri Police Department.Independence Police said a 1997 Suzuki Bandit motorcycle was traveling east on 23rd Street when it struck the side of a 2017 Buick Enclave near South Pearl Street around 10:30 am Tuesday. The driver of the motorcycle, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the SUV was not hurt. Witnesses told police the motorcycle operator was driving carelessly before the crash. The motorcyclist has not yet been identified. There are no additional details available at this time.
